I came to my career in business after a fast-paced and fun university experience studying art and fashion, where I set up my own small company to fund my tuition fees. On graduating, I was ready to learn something new, to understand what opportunities were available and see what the world had to offer.
I was delighted to get a place on the Tesco Graduate Scheme, where I learned a huge amount and had a well-rounded experience across the business. I really enjoyed my time at Tesco, where I was lucky enough to work with and for some genuinely brilliant people. I have always loved learning and taking on challenges, moving through some fabulous companies and roles, including Amazon and now Johnson and Johnson. Each step has fuelled my desire to absorb more knowledge; I never tire of it. I have enjoyed such a wealth of opportunities, from launching own-label products , to managing global brands and even launching a grocer from scratch. It is this breadth of experience that makes working in FMCG so thrilling.
Working in eCommerce is a true privilege. I have learned from great leaders and managed great teams, who make all the challenges worthwhile and fun. The ability to focus on getting great products to customers as seamlessly as possible particularly given the events of 2020 and the pace of change, means that I am always excited about what the future holds for me and my team. I feel very fortunate to have found this wonderful career!
