Silent Pool and sustainable packaging experts Frugalpac have collaborated to launch a new Wildwood Vodka under the Gin makers brand Green man Spirits that uses 94% recycled cardboard and a carbon footprint 83% lower than the glass alternative.
This isn’t the first time the gin makers have done something like this, only recently launching a Wildwood Gin under the same Green Man brand again using the same sustainable packaging.
The collaboration, also not too dissimilar from another one that Frugalpac did recently with winemakers When In Rome, is part of a wider campaign by Silent Pool to boost its sustainability efforts within the industry.
In addition to the new packaging, Silent Pool/Green Man Spirits are also as part of their partnership with non-profit Tree Nation, going to let each customer who purchases a bottle of Wildwood Vodka the opportunity to choose a tree and a planting location which Silent pool will plant on their behalf.
We’ll definitely drink to that!
“Genuinely sustainable practice is important to everyone here at Green Man Spirits, and Silent Pool at large.
By working with Frugalpac, we’ve been able to create a fresh yet pioneering packaging that elevates our quality liquids into the mass market, but for the greater good.
We’re wholly aware that this is just a small step in the right direction, however, it is one we feel we need to make to pave the way for others and position ourselves at the forefront of change within the spirits category”. - Silent Pool Marketing Director, Rhian Billington
