Job Description

As the Director of Category Management, you have a significant opportunity to enhance brand equity, expand distribution, and capture market share in a rapidly growing, yet under-penetrated category. You're expected to provide thought leadership within Category Management, striving to develop a world-class team and capabilities tailored to excel in the 3-tier distribution channel and category management, seamlessly integrating these competencies into the US Commercial business.

Furthermore, your mandate includes the establishment of comprehensive training, educational resources, and support systems to ensure your ability to achieve Category Management excellence, aligning with your long-term ambitions. The focused product portfolio has been meticulously developed in collaboration with your marketing leadership team, targeting strategic customer partnerships and bolstering relationships with key retailers such as Kroger, Albertsons, Target, Total Wine & More, Amazon, and Instacart.

You've made substantial progress, securing a notable market share in the majority of your key retail partnerships, leveraging your exceptional brand portfolio under your leadership.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Create and design shelf schematics.
  • Develop shelf schematics for use in sales presentations with customers, wholesaler partners, broker partners, and internal decks for marketing and executive leadership teams.
  • Assist in identifying strategic shelf adjacencies and opportunities for optimal shelf positioning.
  • Serve as a resource for North America Off-Premise customers.
  • Explore opportunities for taking on Category Captaincy or Category Validator roles to enhance the connection through available resources.
  • Foster cross-functional communication with customer assortment and category management teams.
  • Collaborate with broker partners' category management teams.
  • Work with tie-in partners to develop compelling sales presentations.
  • Offer a virtual representation of what in-store execution should resemble.
  • Identify and capitalize on space-to-sales opportunities.
  • Support Proximo National Account and Regional Accounts in securing a fair share of shelf assortment.
  • Develop and maintain shelf standards.

Proficient in developing alternative solutions and excels in group problem-solving scenarios. Maintains a rational approach, even when dealing with emotionally charged topics.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree.

A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.

Demonstrated proficiency in analytical and strategic thinking, including the ability to formulate business strategies.

Exceptional verbal, written, and formal presentation skills, encompassing the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.

Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining effective business partnerships at all organizational levels.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Possesses strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Self-motivated, capable of making swift, well-informed decisions, and dedicated to fulfilling responsibilities while being accountable for outcomes.

Advanced competence in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
