6 out of 10 Brits Don't Know Vegan Skincare Is A Real Thing

That’s right, a study of 2,000 Brits found that 45% of Brits would use vegan alternatives in their daily beauty regimes, yet over half of them didn’t even realise they already exist!

As animal-free products continue to grow in popularity, many of us are open to or already using animal friendly products in our daily lives, we all have our reasons but the study found the top two reasons being environmental impact and/or animal welfare.

1 in 6 of us are willing to give vegan skincare products a go, largely due to the fact plant-based/milk based products seem to negatively impact the skin with 53% stating dry skin as an adverse effect of milk-based alternatives, yet more than half of us have no idea these products already exist in the market.

Vegan friendly brands such as Wearth London (image below) who have a whole host of vegan and plastic free products supplied by their carefully selected brands, are just one of many places where Brits can snap up great planet friendly products that don’t cost the earth.

Nora Zukauskaite, spokeswoman for vegan brand Skin Proud who commissioned the study, said “vegan alternatives are on the rise, but some are still hesitant to make the change.

“Our hope in 2022, is that vegan options should become the first and only consumer choice for skincare and beauty products to help with animal and environmental impacts.”
